Yuma Golf and Country Club is a long hidden treasure of Southern Arizona. As the only member-owned, private golf and country club in Yuma County, The Club always has been, and will continue to be, where Yuma families feel at home. Complimenting the golf course, Yuma Golf and Country Club offers a wide variety of amenities including an elegant Clubhouse, two lighted tennis courts, and a large size swimming pool with two diving boards, just to name a few.

- Colorado River Improvement Company formed to build the present country club . Original land price per acre $100 (117.5 acres =$11,750)
1950
- Opening day on the golf course was December 10
- 246 charter members formed the Yuma Country Club, leased property from the Colorado River Improvement Company

- Clubhouse and swimming pool completed

- Second nine hole completed
1961
- Colorado River Improvement Company articles of incorporation amended to form the Yuma Golf and Country Club

- Parking lot completed

- Swimming pool enlarged

- Clubhouse remodeled (servers’ station added; removed windows between “porch” and bar area; breezeway between the shop and locker rooms added

- Clubhouse remodeled (original dining room area divided into private dining room and manager’s office; Club office enlarged and sprinkler system installed)

- 2.5 acres of Highway 80 Frontage Road purchased $56,000 per acre, total price $140,000
